Idk they must have found a loophole around no crossplay. Here is the thing, it is impossible for PC players and console players to play together on the same servers. PC has it's own dedicated servers and the same for console. Besides, on pc we have BO2: Plutonium and soon BO2: Remastered by the devs of BO2 Plutonium.

Similar thing happened to me when I last played. For some reason since I had the dlc maps I would get put in empty lobbies with like 3 people on dlc maps and the games would never start but when I would play with my friends who didn’t have the dlc we would get lobbies on classic maps filled with players and it was so fun
